Hi all!
Today I come to talk about the movie Suffragette. This movie reminds me of my high school years, because it was the last movie we saw in the film workshop in which I participated.
The story of the movie is very interesting, above all, taking into account that it is based on real facts, It's not one of my favorite movies, despite being a great story, it's not the kind of movie that entertains me to see more than once (I think it was noticed during class, sorry for that).
My favorite character is Emmeline, more than the character itself, it's because Meryl Streep plays it, which is one of my favorite actresses, for its great versatility.
What I like most about this movie is, that not only shows the context of the struggle for the vote and the rights of women, if not, the feminist struggle at its best, It allows us to understand not only historical facts, but also the reality in which we live (with a powerful feminist struggle).
What I liked least was the end, because I would have liked more emphasis on the meaning of death.
Finally my favorite scene, and perhaps one of the crudest is when they snatch Maud son from his arms, because it portrays the reality of the women of the time, and what they had to face because of their struggle.
