I'm very excited about this post, because series are something that I really like,but I will stop to talk about 2 of my favorite series: Doctor Who and Sherlock Holmes.
Doctor Who is a British series, produced by BBC and tells the stories of a "doctor" who explores the universe in the tardis (a species of spacecraft, able to travel in time and space), its has the Guinness Record as the longest-running science fiction television series in the world. A particularity of this series, is that the doctor changes every season, (if I'm not mistaken, it goes to the doctor number 13), since it has had so many seasons, it deals with many subjects and has "a little bit of everything"and each doctor gives a different essence. My favorite episode is the 10th of the third season,(2007) called blink or also known as "teary angels",because it kept me scared for a very long time (I will not explain why, since it would be a spoiler).
Sherlock is a modern version of the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle,it stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes) and Martin Freeman (Dr. John Watson), it has for 4 seasons (2010, 2012, 2014 and 2017), and has won 4 Emmy Awards,is a series that mixes intrigue, police dramas, the excellent stories of Mr. Arthur Conan Doyle and clearly the beauty of Benedict. It has few episode compared to other series, but I never get bored of seeing them, I think I've seen about 6 times each season.
I will not go into details, because I could talk too much, but if you want to see good series, these are very good options.

When I join to the MLP fandom I learn about Doctor Who, It was a surprise that it has too many seasons O_O
